My last post was on my shortlisting with AIM for the GD and interview. And continuing from where I left off, I recieved a email on the GD and Interview on the 31st Jan 2007. The GD and interview were scheduled for the 12th Feb 2007, with the GD at 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM and the interview at 5:40 PM-6:00PM. However, the interview was not held as per schedule due to a bandh called in my state of Karnataka over the Cauvery Tribunal's vertict on the issue of Cauvery river water sharing among the three states and one union terrritory of Southern India. The interview was rescheduled for the 16th Feb 2007.
Before, I say any further, the d-day was more of an anti-climax. All the expectation of serious interviewing and heated arguments during the GD turned out to be a real dampner, because not for single moment did I feel pressured during the two events and the same was echoed by the other 7 partcipants. The discussion was the most dignified GD that I have ever attended. The past GD experiences had made me all jittery, because they made me feel that I would land up in another of those fish markets, forced to shout at the top of my voice to make myself heard. But refreshingly, the events turned-out to be devoid of hawkers.
